Ms. Aastha Mohapatra

Ms. Aastha Mohapatra is a researcher specializing in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and South Asian political economy. With extensive experience in mixed methods data analysis, policy design, and research consultancy, she has held key roles, including Research Assistant at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) and Sustainability Consultant at BMW Group. She is also an Oxford SDG Lab Fellow, where she works on developing localized CSR frameworks for businesses.

Ms. Mohapatra holds an MPhil in International Development from the University of Oxford and a BA and Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. Her research focuses on the interactions between businesses, local politicians, bureaucracy, and social movements in India.

She has contributed to high-impact projects across diverse domains, including multidimensional poverty measurement, sustainability frameworks, and energy transitions. Her consultancy work spans multiple industries and regions, particularly the MENA region, where she has worked on energy transitions scoping projects for SHEER.
