Get in TouchDr. Harriet Allsopp a Senior Associate with SHEER Research & Advisory. She is an experienced consultant, researcher, author and Middle East region specialist with over ten years’ experience working on a various research projects. Her expertise and experience extend from political-economy to micro level social organization, with particular focus on global and local integration and exclusion mechanisms, migration and displacement, and on socio-economic structures, financialization of housing and on the intersectionality of housing disadvantage with discrimination and inequalities across Europe and the Middle East region. As a Middle East specialist, she has contributed to research on regional climate policy, fiscal position and sustainability, mitigation measures and just transitions. She has offered consultation by governmental and non-governmental organizations and news agencies, particularly on socio-economic transitions and policy in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey and on Kurdish regions. She is also a Research Associate with the Development Planning Unit of University College London (UCL).
She earned a PhD in Politics and Sociology from Birkbeck College, University of London, which was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, UK, and a MRes in Social and Political Theory from the same college. She also obtained an MPhil in Middle Eastern Studies from St Antony’s College, University of Oxford, and a BA from the University of Sussex.
